Questions from schools
Does the school need a data processing agreement?
No. The school handles no personal data in Lärkompis. Families redeem a class code themselves and own their own data. There is no teacher view and there are no pupil accounts.
How does the class code work?
We send a code to you as the teacher. You share it with the parents, who enter it in the parent panel under “Har du en klasskod?” (Do you have a class code?). Each family then gets full access of its own. The code has 40 places.
How long does a place last?
For good. A place gives one family full access, and it stays even when the child changes class or school.
How does the school pay?
We send an ordinary invoice, payable within 30 days. A class costs SEK 760 (40 places at SEK 19). More classes or a whole school: ask us for a quote.
Can we use Lärkompis on school iPads?
Yes. The app works offline and saves locally on the device. We recommend nicknames, for example “Elev 7” (Pupil 7), so that no pupil names are stored on school devices.
Can I try it first as a teacher?
Yes, for free. Get in touch and you will get a code for your own use, so you can try the app before the school decides.
Does the school need to go through public procurement?
The class code is a small purchase of SEK 760 per class. How you handle purchasing is up to you. Get in touch if you need any paperwork.
Can the teacher see the children's progress?
No, not in this version. Lärkompis is a tool for home that the school gives to families. So the school is not the data controller for anything in the app.
