Who is responsible?

Without an account

You can use Lärkompis without an account. Everything your child does, for example their name, avatar and progress, is then saved only on the device, in the browser's storage. Nothing is sent to us.

With a parent account

You create an account with your email address and a six-digit one-time code. Children never have accounts. We store:

• Your email address and the fact that you have bought the app (or redeemed a class code).
• If you turn on sync: for each child, a random ID, year group, chosen subjects, settings and progress. We do not store your child's name or avatar. On a new device, the app asks for your child's name again.

Sync is off from the start, and you turn it on yourself, with an explanation of what is stored, where and for how long. The data is stored with Supabase in Stockholm (EU). We only use it to make the app work.

Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe, on Stripe's own page. We never see your card details. We are only told that the payment went through, so that we can unlock the app. Accounting records of the purchase are kept for as long as the law requires.

This website

• No cookies, no visitor statistics, no trackers and no third-party requests. Fonts and images are on our own server.
• The website is hosted by Netlify, which may keep technical server logs (for example IP addresses) for a short time for operations and security.
• If you send a form (contact or school), we receive the details you write yourself: name, email, school, municipality, role and message. We only use them to reply to you and delete them when the matter is closed, unless we need to keep them for an invoice.

Schools

A school's class code contains no personal data about pupils. The school handles no personal data in Lärkompis. Each family redeems the code with its own account and owns its own data.

AI

Lärkompis works without AI. The correct answers never come from a language model. If you turn on optional AI features, your child's name, answers and recordings are never sent.

Your rights

• Erasure: the “Radera konto” (Delete account) button in the app removes everything we hold on the server.
• Export: you can save all your data as a file at any time.
• Rectification, restriction and objection: get in touch and we will help you.
• Complaints: you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
